Thank you. Sadly, I haven’t had the time to keep this channel up, but seeing comments like yours have inspired me take this project on once again. You can look forward to more videos soon.

No, thank you for the comment! I hope you enjoyed.

Something along those lines rings a bell. I do recall a reference to square and compass shaped pendants and charms placed within the wrappings of egyptian mummies (directly over the breast), as discussed in Hugh Nibley’s ‘Temple and Cosmos’. I will be sure to check out the reference though. Thanks!

    Smith was a Master Mason.

Have you not studied what the Masonic Lodge is? I’m not goiing to state the obvious but if you don’t know about the Masons.and their history, you have a real education coming. Google it.

  9. mymormonapologist says:

Yes, Smith was a Master Mason. I acknowledge that fact at 0:51 in the video. And yes, I have studied Freemasonry… I have spent over 12 years studying early mystery religions and secret societies.

Even as a 3rd Degree, Master Mason, Smith would have never come across any ritual even close to what to is being depicted in this early, 6th century mosaic. Strangely enough, some of the oldest Christian denominations in Ethiopia still practice a form of this ritual. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you. I think I might have stumbled on the same picture just a couple of days ago. I will add the link in the ‘info’ section.

Let me get this straigh this mosaic “porves” Joe Smiths story and make the LDS church legit somehow?

  12. mymormonapologist says:

What this mosaic achieves as an exhibit in the case for Joseph Smith’s truth claims, is that it lends them a LOT of credibility. The imagery the mosaic depicts relates to an early Christian ritual that has only been carried on remotely and in a fragmented form in some traditions; Smith could not have known any of this prior to making his claims.

  13. mymormonapologist says:

This then begs the question of how Smith was able to restore, let alone know about, a ritual that had been lost to mainstream Christianity and academia for thousands of years. After making our exclusions, we are left to seriously consider the supernatural and extraordinary. Because this and other physical evidence greatly legitimizes Smith’s claims, it also works to legitimize the position of the LDS Church by association.

Thanks for your question. This did need to be clarified a bit more.

  14. Gideon6640 says:

Just on the face of it it seems to be a Masonic type ritual. Im going to look into it further at my late ubcles things he was a Freemason and some of the images here look like some of the drawings from Duncans Ritual of which Joseph Smith was VERY familair with…in fact his last words were part of the Masonic distress call.

  15. TrueSaintsLDS says:

well said. My guess is Gideon didn’t even finish the video. Truly anything that shows the validity to him is insulting, because it shows him how invalid his baptism really was.

    thanks for your help
(i sent him the video lol)

Joseph Smith did not restore any type of Christian practice. The entire old testament spells out the use of the temple. It was for sacrifices to be made to temporarily cover sins, and to be prayed towards. There is no mention in the entire Bible of the temple ever being used for baptizing dead people, or doing marriages for the dead or living. The new testament teaches that we are the temple of God. The Jews never built more than one temple at a time, it was forbidden.

  17. TrueSaintsLDS says:

Not true, archaeology has found old temple sites outside of Jerusalem.

  18. TrueSaintsLDS says:

the bible tells us the church would be a restored church

    Acts 3:19-21

  19. carterfamily8903 says:

That is not true, if you are trying to say the Jewish people built more than one temple to God. In Joshua 22 there was nearly a civil war that broke out when the tribes on the other side of the Jordan simply built an altar, similar to the altar of the temple on their side of the Jordan. This war was only prevented, by an explanation given that this altar was only built as a witness to the other tribes, that they worshipped the same God as them, and did their sacrifices in the temple in Jerusalem

  20. TrueSaintsLDS says:

sacrifices symbolic of Christ. I think FAIR did a video about early Jewish temples and they spoke of one outside of Jeruselem. to the SE of it actually.

  21. carterfamily8903 says:

Jeremiah 17:5 “Thus saith the LORD; “Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.” You can trust Joseph and other false prophets working for FAIR, or you can rely upon the word of God in the Bible. There has never been, and never can be a temple built to the God of the Bible, that exists outside of Jerusalem, that would be legitimate. The Jews did build pagan altars and temples to other gods in their idolatry.

  22. TrueSaintsLDS says:

Amos 3:7 Surely the LORD will do NOTHING, except HE revealeth his secrets unto his servants the PROPHETS.

Joseph Smith is identical to the other prophets.

Jeremiah 17:5 is referring to rejecting the words of God and relying only on the individual than seeking God’s help.

God is yesterday, today and forever… Therefore calling prophets is essential for mankind.

Not to mention the True Church would be guided by continued REVELATION and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

  23. TrueSaintsLDS says:

its’ so obvious that Modern day watered down Christianity is built on a foundation of sand.
