Joseph Smith said he was also visited by an angel named Moroni, who told him of an ancient record containing God’s dealings with the former inhabitants of the American continent. Joseph was shown the forest location of the record’s hiding place by the angel. However, he was also told that he should wait another four years before being able to obtain the record, and that until then he should return each year to the same place to receive further instructions. In 1827, Joseph was finally able …

PLEASE LET ME POST! PLEASE!!!!!!!
Ha ha ha ha!
The Truth is the last thing you want getting out!
The fact is you did spam it on this and other videos.
As far as I’ve seen, omiolo responds to comments on many LDS videos, but he does not copy and paste comments onto multiple videos.
That is what you did. That is why it is spam.
What are you talking about? You haven’t been blocked.
I don’t think Joseph knew for sure that he would die until the mob started shooting and killed Hyrum.
I find it interesting that you put so much pressure on the man to find the “right words” in his dying moment. If you were put in that situation, do you think you could find the exact right words that would please generations?
He absolutely was killed because of his beliefs. If it was about a printing press, that could have been solved in the courtroom. These men were out for blood.
It sounds like you are stating that Joseph’s murder was justified?
Joseph was a great prophet of God.
It is also to the Book of Mormon to which we turn for the plainest description of the Catholic Church as the great and abominable church. Nephi saw this church which is the most abominable above all other churches in vision. He saw the devil that he was the foundation of it and also the murders, wealth, harlotry, persecutions, and evil desires that historically have been a part of this satanic organization.(McConkie [1958], 130.)
Then speaking of harlots in the figurative sense, he [Nephi] designated the Catholic Church as the mother of harlots… (Ibid., 314-315.)
[Under the heading, Church of the Devil] The Roman Catholic Church specifically singled out, set apart, described, and designated as being most abominable above all other churches (I Ne. 13:5). (Ibid., 129.)
Pratt and McConkie were not alone, however, in their classification of the Roman church as the great abominable church. In 1882, for instance, an article in the Contributor claimed that many scriptures (including ones from Revelation) point to the Roman Catholic power as that great and abominable church. (Inconsistencies of Modern Christianity, Contributor, [November 1882], 4:2, 65.)
cont.
dozen years before McConkie published his book, President J. Reuben Clark made some remarks in a Conference address about that great and abominable church, the whore of all the earth…. I am not going to say what that church is, he said cryptically, though I have a very definite and clear idea. (President J. Reuben Clark, Jr., Conference Report, April 1946, p.156.)
I know the Book of Mormon the Holy Bible to be the word of God. I’ve completely read both several times. They compliment each other. They both contain God’s words for us!
I have a grandfather who was imprisoned for something he didn’t do. He knew Joseph Smith personally. While in jail he was offered a large bag of money if he would betray Joseph Smith. He would not, though he was very poor, denounce the Prophet. Nor will I!
mormons: 1. Deify “man”, 2. Humanize GOD, 3. Deify/Exalt satan, the (mormon) Spirit Bother of Jesus, 4: Reject the Deity of JESUS CHRIST, 5: Minimize SIN, 6: Discount HELL, 7: REJECT, and Don’t Preach The CROSS, 8: ATTACK the DVINE AUTHORITY of the BIBLE, 9: TWIST The SCRIPTURES, to make them SAY what they WANT them to say, & DENY the HOLY TRINITY, etc THATs MORE Important than ALL Joe Smiths FALSE Prophecies & EVIL DEEDS, combined. The REAL JESUS said “SEARCH The SCRPTURES”. THEY TESTIFY TO HIM
Noah and Moses did less?
reverendluke, I think you win the award for being able to fit more lies and half-truths into one 500-character comment than any I’ve seen before. Congratulations.
Too bad you tried to spam it on to lots of my videos. Classy as well.
I know many of you won’t believe me but the doctrine where Joseph Smith says Native Americans were direct descendents of isreal have been proven by DNA evidence to be false.
I know I’m gonna get all of the same messeges from all of you saying that I know this church is true and Joseph smith and Thomas Monson are true prophets of God. But don’t bother because I know theyve been making you say that since you were 2.
I hope the DNA issue is not the reason you really left the Church.
Do you believe that there were no inhabitants on the American continent before the Book of Mormon people arrived? Of course there were!
And how many people came with Lehi, for example? 15-20? Imagine joining a continent where there could potentially be millions of people here before.
2500 years later, how diluted would the DNA of 15 people be among millions?
Actually there were more reasons I left the church. I don’t agree with the family proclamation because it doesn’t and shouldn’t apply to every member of the church. I don’t believe that if someone doesn’t get married and be fruitful and multiply that the are undeserving of going to a higher level of heaven. My Bible says that Those who believe in me meaning “Jesus Christ” shall not persish but have everlasting life. Christ didn’t come to fullfill the law meaning we don’t have to earn our way.
“While this family unit is the ideal, many Church members find themselves in a variety of other circumstances. Some are not married, but have good support from their parents or siblings. Others may not have support from an extended family. The gospel of Jesus Christ was given by God to bless all His children, without exception, regardless of the family situations in which they find themselves. The gospel provides a brotherhood and sisterhood to strengthen and help all God’s children.
That quote is from lds*org and I believe answers your concern. The Church recognizes that not every person will have the opportunity to be married in this life.
I appreciate you putting that into perspective for me because that was one of the main reasons I left the church. But there seems to be alot of competition among church members about those kind of things. But I’ll be honest I went into the church with an open mind But I don’t think my heart was where it should have been or I could never have accepted the prophets that lead the church. But Some of the nicest people I meant were within the church while some were distant. But I am not here to judge
None of the members of the Church are perfect. If the Church was for pefect people, the pews would certainly be empty on Sunday!
I understand that there can be circumstances where people can say things or imply things that are hurtful. Have I ever been offended by another church member? You bet, just like I’ve been offended by people at school, work, and essentially any group in which I’ve spent a lot of time. It’s inevitable at some point because of our imperfections.
I’m glad you brought an open mind when you joined the Church. You mentioned that you don’t think your heart was where it should have been.
Have you considered coming back, with an open mind and open heart? No need to give me an answer, but I hope you would consider it in prayer.
To tell you the truth Ive considered it from time to time, Comming back that is but right now would obviously be a bad time. Like ive said I just have a hard time believing some of the teachings when many of them “at least in my opinion” have been proven false. Ive also heard many racial accusations against the church and although I haven’t came to any conclusion on those I will be looking into them with an open mind as well. But I will keep praying although right now im not going to church.
If you have trouble with any of the teachings, I’d encourage you to talk to someone about them. Send me a message sometime. The DNA thing is a perfect example–it is very easy to construe the “evidence” to make something appear false. However, with the right context, that is an easy concern to make logical sense out of.
Anyway, keep praying, stay open, and keep the possibilities open. There will be lots of people to welcome you back when you’re ready for that decision.
Given the very limited geographical area they could have lived, it’s not hard to fathom. God will reveal His truths in His due time.
