The "gospel" is this: that Jesus is the only Savior of the world. The Book of Mormon contains the experiences of people who believed in Jesus and preached His gospel in the Americas. In Gal. 1:6 Paul says "another gospel" referring to the Judaizers who preached that salvation came through Jesus AND the law of Moses (circa AD 57). That is the "other" gospel he refers to.
