Bravo! Once again, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has performed flawlessly!
Love it! I need to buy this one soon.
Praise Jesus!
We do. We revere JS as a Prophet, but understand that it was Christ who led Him! Christ is at the head of this Church, not a man.
Really,Tony? Because, honestly,I have never heard an LDS exclaim “Praise Jesus”.Only “Praise to the man”.
I guess that’s one of the fundamental differences between Christianity & Mormonism.Christians focus on Jesus & LDS focus on Joseph.
You’ve never been to an actual sacrament service then. Everything we do focuses on Christ in the LDS Church. We remember Him, sing praises to Him, and follow His commandments.
“Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation!” is one of our hymns. Check our hymnbook…see how many hymns are about Him.
I have attended Sacrament service on several occasions & the only time I heard Christs’ name mentioned was at the end of a testimony.
I did hear a hymn with the words “Hail to the Prophet”.
I find that very hard to believe, as everything about the sacrament is about remembering Christ and His atonement! His name is mentioned each time it is blessed. I know this because It is one of my duties to bless the sacrament. I also have heard plenty of talks and testimonies about Christ and how He has helped members in their day to day life. Many others can testify of this. I get the feeling you are leaving things out.
Ok,fine…Call me a liar,I’ve been called a lot worse…lol…You can carry on singing “Praise to the man” & “Hail to the Prophet” & I’ll just keep on Praising Jesus
Thank you,Jesus!…All praise & Glory to you,My Sweet Saviour!!!….
Just some things that you might find interesting: the Book of Mormon mentions Jesus Christ more than the Bible, and the Book of Mormon states that it’s purpose is to prove the truthfulness of the Bible. Also, there are FAR more hymns praising Jesus Christ than there are about Joseph. We don’t worship the prophets, we uphold them as men of God, just as we revere Moses and Abraham and all the prophets of old.
