Mormon Temple vs Ancient Bible Temples: There is a continuity between Mormon temples and Ancient Temples. The difference is between the preparation and the fullfillness. The teachings and focus has always been on the Savior Jesus Christ. To find out more about Mormons, visit www.mormon.org To speak to a Mormon visit http

Exodus, again, God is not limited to the Bible. It is a false requirement to say “if the Bible doesn’t clearly say it, it can’t be true, because God has said everything he is ever going to say in the Bible”.
Peter, as the head apostle, was given the “keys of the kingdom” with the power that “whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven”. We know from modern revelation that that includes the sealing power to seal husband and wife and families together forever.
Ok im guessing you are including the BOM?
Where do I find your concept of eternal marriage in the Book of Mormon? (It isn’t in thereāit’s in the D&C, sec. 132.)
Since the Introduction to the Book of Mormon states that it contains “the fulness of the everlasting gospel”?
I am not trying to put you down or debate with you, I am just trying to make you open your eyes and see what Mormonism is putting in your head! I respect your faith and know you think you are followoing th true God!
All I ask is you look into it for yourselfs!
We are talking about your salvation here my friend!
God Bless!
Eternal marriage is not mentioned in the Book of Mormon, although marriage certainly is. But, again, God is not limited to the Book of Mormon.
Exodus, the “fullness of the gospel” in the Book of Mormon does not mean that every last word that God ever says is in the Book of Mormon. If that were what it means then there would be no need for the Bible. The Book of Mormon testifies of the Bible, though. The Book of Mormon no more closes the door to continuing revelation than the Bible does. God continues to speak. The heavens are open. The cannon of scripture is open.
“today we speak of a broken heart and a contrite spirit”
We do follow the example of our Lord and Savior!
“open your eyes and see what Mormonism is putting in your head”
yeah but we think you are the blind trying to convince everyone else is blind and you need to lead.
I do NOT understand how anyone would go to a religion with so many leaders like
EVANGELIST Tony Alamo–> google him to OPEN your eyes!
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lords house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the flaw, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
The gospel proclaimed to the world by the Latter-day Saints is the gospel of Jesus Christ as restored to the earth in this dispensation and is for the redemption of all mankind. The Lord himself has revealed what is essential for the salvation and exaltation of his children. One of these essentials is that temples are to be erected for the performance of ordinances that cannot be performed in any other place.
When this is explained to people from all over the world who come and look at our temples, the question these people most frequently ask is, what are the ordinances that are performed in temples?
at the time of death, our status before the Lord is determined for all eternity, for did not Christ say to Nicodemus, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (John 3:5)? Yet we know that many people have died without the ordinance of baptism, and thus, according to Christs statement to Nicodemus, they would be eliminated from entering into the kingdom of God. This raises the question, is God just?
The answer is, of course God is just. It is evident that the Saviors statement to Nicodemus presupposes that baptisms may be done for those who have died who have not been baptized. Latter-day prophets have told us that baptism is an earthly ordinance that can be performed only by the living. How then can those who are dead be baptized if only the living can perform the ordinance? That was the theme of the Apostle Pauls writing to the Corinthians when he asked this question:
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? (1 Cor. 15:29.)
In fact, as we study ecclesiastical history, we find that baptism for the dead was practiced by the early Christians. There was vicarious work for the dead at that time, and there is today. Indeed, vicarious work is not something new or strange to us.
We remember that the Savior himself in a vicarious manner atoned for the sins of all mankind. Today, baptisms are again performed by the living in behalf of individuals who have died, as is also the laying on of hands for the bestowal of the gift of the Holy Ghost for these same deceased people. These ordinances for the deceased, however, are performed only in the house of the Lord
Another temple ordinance is that of celestial marriage, where wife is sealed to husband and husband sealed to wife for eternity. We know, of course, that civil marriages end at death; but eternal marriages performed in the temple may exist forever.
The only one that needs to lead is Jesus Christ! And how could anyone follow someone like Warren Jeffs? The differences is Christians do not follow the Men of the Church, they follow Jesus Christ alone! For its through faith in Jesus, the Grace of God is the only way to heaven! Not by your works (Ephesians 2:8-9) or who speaks at your church! or for that matter if you even go to church! for where 2 or more are presant in his name (Matthew 18:20)
God Bless my friend!
“The differences is Christians do not follow the Men of the Church, they follow Jesus Christ alone!”
NO, your brand of christianity worships and follows your interpretation of the Bible!
An interpretation that has lead to
(1) Slavery
(2) Inquisitions
(3) Horrible religious wars
(4) witch trials
(5) Jim Crow Laws
(6) Segregation
and most recently what the media calls
PREACHERS OF HATE!!
“For its through faith in Jesus, the Grace of God is the only way to heaven”
While we agree on that. We disagree on who is Christ!
You have him as a reshuffling of a pagan god, who Emperor Constantine helped propagate because he saw an ANGEL.
You then have this extra scripture you call CREEDS which define your god based on those pagan principles!
truly as Paul said an “UNKNOWN God, who you ignorantly worship”
The OLD TESTAMENT explains the structure, use, and purpose of the Only true Temple. Whereas you have the LDS/Smith version of the Temple in complete opposite of the Biblical Temple. Does the BofM explain the use and structure of a Temple? LDS Temple ordinances go through so many changes YET they are supposedly to mean the same as the Biblical Temple.
Jesus is the Temple. Through only Jesus we have everlasting life, not through Masonic ordinances.
John:2 19-21
The temple veil was torn when Jesus died giving full access to anyone to boldly come to the thrown of grace.
Why did Joseph Smith sew the temple veil up again?
“The temple veil was torn when Jesus died”
yes it was. I wish you knew the significance of that!
” But he that hateth his brother
is in darkness,
and walketh in darkness,
and knoweth not whither he goeth
because that darkness hath
blinded his eyes.”
” He that saith he is in the light,
and hateth his brother,
is in darkness even now.”
” Verily verily I say unto you.
He that believeth on me the works that I do
shall he do also:
and greater works than they shall he do,
because I go unto my Father.”
