The Jews only built 1 temple, there was never to be more than one temple built at a time, and the Jews almost had a civil war, when some of the tribes of Israel, thought some of the other tribes were trying to build another one. The temple was for sacrifices to be made to God, and to be prayed towards. Jesus was the final sacrifice for sins. There is no mention of any need to build a temple in the New Testament, because as believers in Christ, we become the temple of God. Read 1 Corinthians 1.

Incredibly interesting I dont think most Christians understand the history of temples.

I don’t believe that the many similarities between Solomon’s Temple and the LDS temple is a coincidence. I think it is DIVINE!
