so the bom says dead people have a chance at heaven
the bible says that after death there is no other chance to recive christ.
if both books make up your doctrine how can they condradict??
Check the bible. 4 lack of space & time: Gospel preached 2 dead 1 Peter 3:18-20; 4:6; how can (Phil. 2:9-11) be done if “there is no other chance to receive Christ” after death. That’s why: Rom. 14:9. Also John 5:25-29, 1 Corin. 15:19, 29 → Bap. 4 the Dead, Paul uses this as proof for the resurrection & this ordenance can “send forth pris. out of pit wherein is no water” (spirit prison – Zech. 9:11). There are many more… Matt. 12:31-32 – sin frgven in world 2 come if 1st opp. to repent etc.
The Bible does not teach that: the Bible does teach baptizing for the dead: a plain and precious truth that was lost over the years, but restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
for philippians 20 9-11 its saying after judgemnt day that every tounge will confess and every knee will bow because they will realize that jesus is lord and they are going to hell for not realizing it.
In his epistle to the Corinthians, Paul cited the early Christian practice of proxy baptism for the dead as evidence of a future resurrection and judgment. Some pass it off as an outmoded practice of the early church, while others believe it refers to an apostate or heretical doctrine.
Baptism for the dead was performed by the dominant church until forbidden by the sixth canon of the Council of Carthage in A.D. 397. Some of the smaller sects, however, continued the practice
so if people could baptize the dead. then what would be the poiint of jesus. ? if jesus came to save us all? we could just baptize everybody by ourselves. and we would al go to heaven, how do you explain this?
Jesus is central to the entire plan: deceased persons, just because they are baptized, are not automatically “saved” in the Celestial Kingdom. They still have their choice to accept or reject the baptism performed for them.
The bible says they can recieve Christ on the other side who didnt have a chance on earth
1Cor. 15-29
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
See they were doing “mormon” temple work back then.
people weren’t believing .
Paul asks why would they be doing the baptism work in the first place, if there wont be a resurrection? They needed their faith em bolstered for the after life
Jesus had to be the first ressurection. Then the others could be rsurrected. Jesus told the priesthood holders that they needed to do the proxy work. HE required that from us, for his mission. Baptism is SOOO important to Christ. he himself was Baptized and never needed to be. You must have his authority to do it.
being baptized does not save you so u go to heaven. you can be a christian an not baptized.baptizm is a symbol of our sins being taken away. the requirements for going to heaven does not include being baptized. itsa good thing to do but you dont have to.
Mormons build Temples so that theTithed members can enter Mormon heaven. You can buy anything with money remember. The LDS members must be the most controlled people on the planet, Free Agency is just a joke. Blood Atonement advocated by the LDS Leaders in the nineteenth century had the members living in fear of their lives. The mass murder of 120 souls including children at Mountain Meadows by a band of Mormons in 1857 was the worst atrocity. The Taliban having nothing on the Mormons!!
Yeah, it’s sad, cause I thought they might have had the truth, too… But it was for the best cause I found even greater happiness when I left Christianity… <3
Temples are all about covenants with God just as tithing is.
That is also a one sided insult to the MMM and perpetuated hearsay. That band of Mormons, no one ever mentions, were driven out of their homes in the dead of winter and some of their kin hurt or murdered by THE VERY PEOPLE they were now in the position to chase off. They fostered such un-Christ like hatred for them (understandably) that not even the church could stop them.
That’s not true. we have no rituals! we do wear white because it is symbolic of purity……we also are sealed together as families by the proper athority from God. Anyone who wishes to learn more about this can find our missionaries and talk to them! They would be more than happy to tell you!
yes. we aren’t allowed to take pic. or vid. in the temple because it’s the house of God and some things are too sacred to be shared with anyone who isn’t there. hope that helps!

that whole sentecnce must come from your bom cuz its not said anywhere in the bible.
1 Cor. 15:29: this verse clearly teaches the importance of Baptism for the dead.
And it’s not “my” Book of Mormon: this Book is open and availible to anyone and everyone that desires to learn more about Jesus Christ.

Indeed. For the truth about mormonism please watch “The Lost Book of Abraham” and “DNA Versus The Book of Mormon.”

That isn’t the marriage part either.
