That does not explain praising elements of the LDS faith that are in DIRECT CONFLICT with the interviewee’s own religion.
True, the Lutheran minister gets a little out of hand. I don’t know why he speaks so admiringly of beliefs that are in complete contradiction to true Christianity; i.e. baptism of the dead.
How many videos out there that support ur church? Did we ever mentioned its bias?
The difference is this video doesn’t lie about the church.
Every video produced by someone not in favor of the church distorts perspective and lies about it.
So, don’t YOU be decieved.
He just wants to be a Mormon, he loves it.
Krister Stendahl is Lutheran, not Catholic.
No religion has better looking Churches than the Catholics. Our churches go way back.
You say bias as if there is a hidden agenda. However, everyone’s credentials are clearly stated, including 2 Harvard professors and 1 from NYU. Continue to write off the opinions of the BYU professors and church authorities (in ignorance) if you wish, but not accepting as well-researched the conclusions of these three learned men, who on any other issue in their research area you would probably accept as credible, is the height of intellectual hypocrisy.
Ok i change my opinion this time i actually watched the whole video. There is two particular things i would like to adress 1st temple worship, when God died on the cross an earthquake ravished the land and tore the veil in the temple that seperated the arc of the covenant from the people symbol there are no longer any barriers to get to God we can do it through Jesus ie no more need for temple to symbolize our realtionship we have Jesus Christ!
Second Baptism for the dead yeah in first Corinthians Paul mentions it but he says “They who baptize for the dead” If this was to be a very important necessary Christian practice do you not think he would have rather said “We Christians who …..” ???
Im afraid to say every mormon Ive ever met has treated me like crap, they act as if they are above me, talk down to me and brush me aside…In doing this they made me decide that mormons arent very kind, welcoming or cociderate…Not the same when they show up at the door, so they need to start acting nicer to strangers…Mormons need to be NICER!! They are no better than I and I am no better than they…what a shame, I used to think all mormons were “Such nice people”..
i lick god
The Maccabeans practiced baptisms for the dead as it was part of the original church until the apparent apostacy from the truth and it was ordered stopped by Rome in the 4th century.
Baptisms for the dead is essential for every man woman that gained a knowledge of Good and Evil that we all can face judgement on equal terms. Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is God and he set up a church. He is a God of order in His house, not chaos.
Yeah, it’s definitely hard to view a religion beyond our own personal experiences. A few Mormons have been very snooty to me, but I’ve had the same experience from members of my own belief system (Catholicism).
I think that human tendency to act “better than everyone else” tends to infect every belief structure and outlook on life, be it Catholicism, Mormonism, Judaism, Islam, and especially atheism these days.
I understand where you’re coming from though; the experience is annoying.
Thank you VERY MUCH! Sheesh! Any body who believes in the baptism for the dead is crazy, let alone any Catholic that believes that. You might as well have somebody just repent for the dead person.
This may sound unrelated to you but if you were at a restaurant and there was doo doo in your food, would you eat it?
Well I wouldn’t go terribly far with that, I think that is slightly over board. There is definitely no need for an actual MATERIAL temple/church/building but definitely there needs to be a foundation/baseline that everybody needs to be a part of which one could term “church” as Christ referred to “and upon this rock I will build my church”
However, that being said. I think it gives greater honor and glory to God by having a formal material place to which to worship him, to remindusoftheKingHeis
Well i completely agree but the aspect of temple worship that i disagree with is not the buildnig but the secluded worships hence Mormons only. The temple should be for all to come and worship not just Mormons hence my bible qoute

This is disturbing. If nothing else, this post confirms the ‘religiousness’ of Mormonism. Absolute heresey and denying the diety of Jesus.
