I love this video thank you sooooo much for uploading!
I am so glad you posted this. I hope all who are studying about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will see this. This video really touched my heart.
THE FIRST EPISTLE OF PAUL THE APOSTLE TO THE
CORINTHIANS
CHAPTER 11
11 Nevertheless neither is the aman without the woman, neither the bwoman without the man, in the Lord.
1 Peter 3:7
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife,… and as BEING HEIRS TOGETHER OF THE GRACE OF LIFE; that your prayers be not hindered.”
What if you have annoying in laws? Eternity with them may not be quite heaven.
Thank-you for posting this! With all the crud on you-tube, its nice to hear the truth. The holy ghost truly returns when you see and hear an apostle of the lord! If anyone from the church sees this! We need to start missionary work on the net! To much damage is being done on here! People are twisting the minds of all people! They are telling them half truths! If you see there is about 1 lds video to every 50 non-lds! Missionary work is not just on the streets its on the net!
The whole point in our being in heaven is to worship God. If you can not do this because your spouse and or children are not present with you then you have failed your mission there. Our relationships will not continue as we know them on Earth. That would only take away from our worship.
Sooner- I disagree. The LDS belief in eternal families emphasizes the importance of families not only in our society but in eternity. Our relationships can endure this life. I am grateful to know that if I am faithful I have the opportunity to be with my wife and children for eternity. How great is that?
Sounds like LDS propaganda to me. Thing that bugs me about over-religious people is that they talk like they know – without a doubt – the absolute truth of the world when they really don’t. It’s just the same as any church or religion ever created – just a belief. There’s nothing wrong with believing, but it is wrong to confuse beliefs with facts and truth. LDS Church leaders talk in this way to give a false sense of comfort to people. They don’t really ‘know’.. they ‘believe’.
This video series has scholars of many faiths, not just LDS speaking.
We believe that God can confirm truth, thus changing it from a belief to a knowledge.
That’s true, but it’s still in essence, a belief. You believe to know something.
I have to admit your comment is a bit confusing. Do you believe that you can “know” anything with surety or is everything a belief that you know?
No, there are many things you can know, you just need to have some way to prove it. I know when my car is low on gas because there is a meter that is physically measuring the amount of gasoline in my tank. This knowledge is backed by physical evidence. There is no physical evidence that God is confirming truth to you (unless of course he did indeed appear to you and you saw him with your own eyes). It’s based on your own internal dialogue so without that evidence, it is a belief and not fact.
Wonder if you gas gauge is broken? I think what LDS9999 is trying to get at is that church leaders and church members “Know” because they receive revelation from the Holy Ghost of what is true. What is a hope or belief is confirmed by revelation and is now knowledge
The Holy Spirit has born witness to me that Jeffery R Holland & Boyd K Packer are Jesus Christ’s Apostles speaking.
. faith is like the wind… how do u know that there is the wind? u cant see it right… so how do u know then? cuz u FEEL IT. u dnt have to see the truth with your eyes.. they can be wrong.. but u can feel it with your heart cuz it will never be wrong. thats how i know, and i speak for all LDS members… we know that the church is true because we have prayed and have felt the answer it in our hearts that its true. u cant tell me that im wrong cuz you dnt knw.
Thank God for the 12 Apostles.
God made rules.
Simple as that.
Follow those rules (FIRST) And the fruit will be so stinkin obvious that it will be like a ton of bricks. yet!!
Pride keeps many away from the truth because they dont want to play by Gods rules,
SAD, SAD INDEED!
There is faith and belief but there is also knowledge through personal revelation. The qualification for an Apostle is to have knowledge of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:22) There are men and women on this earth who KNOW.
great
In a philosophy of religion class, I found it interesting that the bases was that “you can not know anything you can’t verify by the physical senses. (-smile-) My interpretation of my imperfect physical senses seems flimsy next to a direct revelation in my heart of hearts to truth.
(-smile-) You speak as though what you say is fact that can be proven by non-spiritual means.
The only way for YOU to find out is is for YOU to ask God.
Of course you would have to have faith that He would answer in a way you could KNOW, but it may be worth the experiment if you are unsure.
Just a thought from someone who’s senses and logic have often failed him, but my KNOWLEDGE of the truth, has never wavered.
Thing is; to be in heaven they would have to become un-annoying through the Savior’s Atonement and their faithfulness, just like you… and me.
I’d also like to bare witness that Elders Jeffery R Holland & Boyd K Packer are Jesus Christ’s Apostles speaking.
I am currently a single college student, living far away from all my family. I have spent a lot of time alone lately. And as hard as it’s been, I am grateful because I have come to better understand the significance of eternal families. I have come to know that God doesn’t intend for us to be alone in this life or the next. He wants us to have fullness of joy, and we can’t obtain that on our own.
