Gordon Bitner Hinckley was the fifteenth Prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormon Church, as it is commonly known. He held that position from March 12, 1995 until January 27, 2008 when he died. He had served in a full-time capacity for the Church since 1958. During his tenure as President of the LDS Church, Hinckley traveled the world extensively and met with many …

Well of course it’s a civilian honor! :)

You see, if one part of your definition breaks down, then the whole definition does. Not to mention the rest of your definition is flawed as well. For example, provide evidence (not more baseless allegations) that the Church “profits” from believers.

watch the video I sent you, no part of my definition breaks down at all. If you can read you might see what I said.

  3. lds9999 says:

Didn’t receive any video you sent.

Unbelieveable that you say your definition does not break down at all. It appears you are immune to logic.

No I haven’t ready the book of mormon. The scripture I was referring to was

    Galatians 1:6-8

There is only ONE true gospel. To teach otherwise is to be accursed..

    Deuteronomy 12:32…

Even under the Old Law they were not to add to God’s word

Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

    Just to name a few.

  5. stavie03 says:

Dont get me started with your lack of logic. Oh and I forgot to mention that Lucifer is not Jesus brother
    as you mormons believe
can you not send links in these comments?

  6. lds9999 says:

If you haven’t read the Book of Mormon, how do you know that it is not the Word of God?

I fully agree that man should not add to the word of God, but can’t God give more of His word? Or is God limited to just the Bible?

As to the other scripture above, what is your definition of “the gospel”?

  7. galaxydreams says:

Paul tells us what the gospel is in 1 Cor. 15:1-4

  8. lds9999 says:

Exactly. The reason I asked you about that is because the Book of Mormon and LDS prophets teach the SAME gospel. (In response to Galatians 1:6-8.) To learn more, you can visit jesuschrist*lds*org

Whoa dude what r u saying? that they wernt supposed to add to the old testament?!?!? ….that is what u said…. Did the prophets end with the close of the old testament? Or is the work of the messiah rolling forth EVEN NOW among the children of men fullfilling prophesy?

  10. meawaking says:

    lol

  11. meawaking says:

    Rev. 3: 19, 21
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and achasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

    There’s no god.

  13. lds9999 says:

How do you “know” there is no God?

  14. tattootomorrow says:

Examine the world and compare it with the depictions of god provided by religious laymen, leaders, and scriptures.

It’s really the same way we know anything. Ponder the evidence.

    Take care.

Did you not accept my reply to your question?

Seems like you’ve got something to hide here.

  16. JesusLovesAllOfMan says:

There is a God, read the bible.

  17. lds9999 says:

I accepted your reply. I can’t instantaneously approve all comments because I’m not on Youtube. (I screen out vulgar or spam comments.)

    The evidence? Be more explicit.

  18. tattootomorrow says:

Why do you even screen out vulgar or spam comments? Why not just spend your time constructively?

The evidence comes from every field of human study. Which specific part of your belief system do you want to examine today? We could do prayer, souls, heaven/hell, or miracles. There’s plenty more, but I don’t have time to educate you from scratch.

  19. lds9999 says:

Personally, I think that is spending my time constructively, because videos that have comments full of vulgarity or spam often ruin the experience for those really wanting to learn.

  20. lds9999 says:

    Wow, that’s quite the tattoo!

  21. tattootomorrow says:

    Thanks.

Isn’t it funny that JLAOM upstairs here thinks that books are evidence? Is it that actual evidence and real physical science are so far removed from his life?

When people point out evidence for evolution they show actual fossils and actual radio-carbon dating results (representing the actual decay of real neutrons/protons) they don’t point to a physics or biology textbook and say “that’s all the evidence I need!”

No matter. It is just obvious that primitive people lie when writing.
