LDS word of wisdom – prove LDS true?

LDS theology teach that people that smoke tobacco, drink coffee or tea cannot live with God when they die (if they continue to smoke tobacco, drink coffee or tea) Does it prove LDS church to be true, now that scientist know that some of it can be harmful?

I get a kick out of Shawn’s pseudoscience. Nothing like trying to prove away the word of wisdom via pseudoscience.

I also get a kick that ANTImormon in order to try to show a the Prophet was uninspired have him reading EVERY book imaginable. Making him literally the most educated and read person in the world. Which goes COMPLETELY against what the NON-bias observes said about him.

But don’t let that stop you!

Drinking one to two units of alcohol per day increases HDL cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, and reduces the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke by up to 40%.

Coffee and tea are also very antioxidant rich.

You are funny, you keep making stabs at shawn but you never have anything to prove him wrong? Is that because hes not wrong?

But don’t let that stop you!

i think the lds rteligion is more harmfull than tea or coffee!!!LOL

Funny thing, I had a conversation with him and shut him up pretty good. I can share it with you if you like, I have it in my hotmail inbox still.

  7. Exodus314IAM says:

Really? I find this very hard to believe but if you want to post it to your page. Shawns proof is very solid and there is really nothing a Mormon or LDS can say to disprove any of it.

  8. Rammiumptum says:

Of course you would find this hard to believe, you seem to idolize this guy who is just so quick to close his heart. He is a hypocrite. Any anti mormon person would be quick to listen to him because he was kicked out of the lds church and will bad mouth it. And anti’s think that he knows everything and knows what he’s talking about. News for you, he doesnt. His “proof” isnt solid and its not up to date. Archeological evidence supports the book of mormon too, things are proven every day.

  9. chris827 says:

lol. I think it’s funny how all he does is point out that there were others before Joseph Smith’s time who believed the same things we do. Wow! What a concept! People seeking the truth can know it too!

  10. chris827 says:

Seriously? How did he get ex-ed? Or rather what did he do?

  11. Rammiumptum says:

I dont know that he got ex-ed or not. His conversion story doesnt add up to me at all based on the conversation I had with him. I guess it was wrong for me to say he got kicked out because I really dont know, but I just get the feeling that he’s not being completely honest with his viewers. Maybe he’s scheming to get money or attention by bashing and living in denial and hypocrisy?

  12. chris827 says:

hahaha that would truly follow the path of the anti.

Ya know I find it interesting that he doesn’t pull out the statistics that show that “Mormons” live about 11 years longer than most people. It doesn’t matter that it came around the same time that people were starting to realize it. The Lord said the He would “pour out (His) spirit upon ALL flesh” in the last days, not just Latter-day Saints. God’s children move step by step, from grace to grace. There was never a person in the gospel that progressed towards God that did not progress in this way

Mormons also believe that energy drinks are bad for you as well (Such as Red Bull, Monster, etc). Because they have way too much sugar, Ginseng and caffeine. which are ADDICTIVE substances. If you want to know facts, energy drinks are responsible for premature heart attacks.

My mormon grandma died a week before her 109th birthday. She obeyed the word of wisdom

yes Alcohol can help with your heart and other stuff but you used “units” to hide “milliliters” People usually drink more that two ML of alchohol.

  20. bagpiper2005 says:

A “unit” of alcohol is about 12 grams of pure alcohol (roughly the amount you stated in mL). A “unit” is the amount found in:

12 ounces of beer (5% ABV)
5 ounces of wine (12% ABV)
1.25 ounces of liquor (40% ABV)

The safe levels of drinking are 1 unit per day for women, and 2 units per day for men.

  21. HomesliceDrummer says:

Yep, since you know every single one of them personally, this statement has tons of credibility.

    Get real dude.

  22. HomesliceDrummer says:

Not true. People say a glass of wine is good for you, bu it is not because of the alcohol.

Alcohol stresses the liver, which degrades healthy cholesterol levels which in turn is bad on the cardiovascular system and the heart.

It is the anti-oxidants in grapes (wine) such as resveratrol that are good for the heart. NOT THE ALCOHOL!

Alcohol is veyr much a poison, and is in no way beneficial to a persons health. It poisons your liver, stresses the kidneys, and destroys protein synthesis.
