Tony Larson knows more about prophecy than almost anyone on this Earth. He has written five books that help explain the subject. I have read every book he has written multiple times. His understanding is amazing. Anyone interested in this subject and tired of the same ol’(wrong) explanations would serve themselves well to check into what Tony knows. Tony is also one of the nicest human beings I ever met. Prophecy is like milk…you can’t find the sweet milk among 100 jugs without tasting the 99.
This video Simply attempts to connect dot 3 with dot 6, if you know what i mean. Ancient Egyptians gave allegience to many gods, which are the onces presented in the video. They have seperate purposes.Johns revelation on these creatures are symbolic of Gods personallity of Love(man), Justice(Lion), wisdom(Eagle) and power(Bull). The Egyptians portray them as sons of Horus with compleatly different roles.
John was speaking to pagans for whom these symbols had very specific meanings, not those we attribute to them today. Christians have attached those virtues to pagan symbols. I suggest you read what I’ve written about this in order to fully understand the ancient connections and origins.
you see joseph smith like the egyptians didnt believe in a god just devils and egyptians didnt value the life of a person because they had slaves and believing that specific humans were born gods by blood line and also made sacrifices for specific reasons but who am i to judge if judgement day comes and mormons decend to where ever i will be more than happy to be part of what u consider an army of fallen angels
How does this tie into D&C 77:2-3
2 Q. What are we to understand by the four beasts, spoken of in the same verse?
A. They are afigurative expressions, used by the Revelator, John, in describing heaven, the paradise of God, the happiness of man, and of beasts, and of creeping things, and of the fowls of the air; that which is spiritual being in the likeness of that which is temporal; and that which is temporal in the likeness of that which is spiritual…
The key is in the first phrase. These are “figurative expressions.” That is, they are symbolic, as I maintain. Such temporal symbolism is employed to teach spiritual truths.
erm Joseph was given the papyrus he didn’t create the images…and who cares if they are pagen symbols…the cross is a tool of torture and it is accepted as the christian symbol by many….so I don’t get why it matters if the beasts resemble these things…you can find these symbols on road sighns and some kook will come up with some other conspircy theroy
All i know is that, i will STICK to the Prophet Joseph Smith words and translations! Joseph Smith was the Prophet of God back then, and WE are NOT!!! Otherwise, if we start putting different thoughts and imaginations into the Prophet Joseph Smith words and translations, we are actually changing it!!! Becareful of the human minds guys, it is very powerful, and the devil can play tricks too, to confused you!!! JOSEPH SMITH WAS THE PROPHET OF THE CHURCH OFJESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
And this comes directly from Joseph Smith’s teachings. Read my blog monograph on the same subject for a thorough explanation. And since you don’t mind cautioning me, I have a caution for you: Learn Joseph Smith’s teachings. I derive or relate all I teach from his teachings. Be careful you don’t reject one of his ideas out of ignorance.

Yes.. i totally get that. But the definition of the symbols seems to differ.. no? Or are there deeper levels of understanding, or multiple meanings?
I love your work BTW.. I am glued to all of your writings. Can’t get enough.
