Doesn’t really matter if Bang ‘em Young ordered the massacre or not. His doctrine and teachings caused it, and he became complicit in it when he tried to cover it up.

I believe Shawn’s position is that the doctrine of blood atonement which Brigham taught (any saint who spills the blood of someone guilty of great sins is doing that person a favor) led inevitably to the tragedy at Mountain Meadows. Something like MMM was bound to happen sooner or later, in the opinion of some.

There are other documented instances, but MMM is the biggest.

Shawn says that Brigham Young was complicit in what happened at MMM, but I still can’t find any prove beyond strong opinions on what his role was. Oh yes, and a HOLLYWOOD movie.

Forget what everybody says. Pray to God. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. And read what Jesus said about God and Himself. If you do that, you cannot be Mormon. In order to be Mormon, you have to ignore what Jesus said about himself and listen to what someone else says about Him instead.
