    Who is this guy?

  3. Tavlo says:

His name is Shawn McCraney. He came out of Mormonism a few years ago.

You can check out his other shows at hotm (d o t) tv. He also wrote a book “I Was A Born Again Mormon”.

So if someone’s dead we can’t point out that the stuff they did was crappy? So anyone who says Hitler was evil is wrong.

ps read the Ensign August 1979 “The Debate is Over.” Proof that they teach you to blindly follow w/e the president says.

    Thank-you

  6. Tavlo says:

    You’re very welcome.

I suggest you start with the first episode and work your way up… he explains his story in the first few episodes and really starts developing the show we see today a good year into it. Plus you get to know his personality a little bit too. :-) Enjoy!

    Blessings,

It seems as if nobody nomatter who they are or how smart they are, is immune to being brainwashed.

  8. SpiritLedOne says:

Forget what everybody says. Pray to God. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. And read what Jesus said about God and Himself. If you do that, you cannot be Mormon. In order to be Mormon, you have to ignore what Jesus said about himself and listen to what someone else says about Him instead.

  9. BaurakAle7 says:

Blood oaths–that’s a really minor change.

Mormon counter-arguments in the form of strawmen are really laughable.

Shawn says that Brigham Young was complicit in what happened at MMM, but I still can’t find any prove beyond strong opinions on what his role was. Oh yes, and a HOLLYWOOD movie.

  11. rockwaterman says:

I believe Shawn’s position is that the doctrine of blood atonement which Brigham taught (any saint who spills the blood of someone guilty of great sins is doing that person a favor) led inevitably to the tragedy at Mountain Meadows. Something like MMM was bound to happen sooner or later, in the opinion of some.

There are other documented instances, but MMM is the biggest.

why does this guy always go after the negatives of the mormons? there are plenty of positives in that church? he got selfish and strung up in the world

  13. jtimmis says:

you guys both live in utah. why can’t you guys get together for an informal debate? that would be great!

  14. fubecabr says:

Hahahaha, hilarious!!!!! It’s people like this caller that always make me flip flop on mormon apologists being intellectually dishonest or just plain deluded.

  15. fubecabr says:

Doesn’t really matter if Bang ‘em Young ordered the massacre or not. His doctrine and teachings caused it, and he became complicit in it when he tried to cover it up.

Bush thought that GOD told him to invade Iraq, and it’s been a total disaster.

Hinckley followed the spiritual prompting to build a bunch of temples, yet most of these temples sit empty and unused.

Hinckley followed the spiritual prompting to build a multi-billion dollar megamall and what happens? Another great depression hits.

Hinckely followed spiritual promptings to pay millions for the salamander letter and other forgeries.

  17. fubecabr says:

Hinckley got spiritual confirmation about the design of the conference center, yet now millions of dollars need to be spent to make it safer for earthquakes and to fix the sagging roof.

Early mormons followed spiritual promptings to invest in Smith’s kirtland bank. That it would “swallow up all other banks.” Yet, it failed in an epic fashion and cost the life savings of the saints.

Early mormons followed promptings to leave for UT, despite it being late in the season. They froze to death.
